Description

Large elegant, beautiful hanging heavenly (SKY) blue flowers. Is deciduous and has strikingly narrow leaves. Ideal for planting in the back of a border or in pots because this HIGHEST Agapanthus can reach a height of 1.6 m. Is typical an 'Inapertus' species that we can deduce from the typical hanging flowers and elongated gray-green leaves that can grow up to 50 cm. . The flower stems to which the flower heads come can be 1m -1.5m high, the flower heads violet, the individual flowers are tubular and hanging (hence 'hanging Agapanthus'). The inapertus species are sometimes referred to as the 'Dragon Mountain' Agapanthus because they occur naturally in the grasslands around the Dragon Mountain in South Africa.

Origin1987, (selection of A. inapertus subsp. hollandii) from eastern Transvaal (Zuid- Afrika). Known since 1987 and still in cultivation.
